Holy Names Music Center Welcomes Holy Names Educational Ministries

On May 29, 2025, the HNMC welcomed members of HNEM to campus for their annual in-person meeting. Joining Co-Directors Archie Chen, Rhona Gouldson-Chen, Board of Trustees Chair Bev Austin, and other Trustees were Sr. Cynthia Canning, SNJM and Chair of HNEM, Sr. Maureen Delaney, SNJM and Provincial, Greg Schopf, Canonical Steward of HNEM, and Lynne Kennedy Mullen, Executive Director of HNEM. The annual meeting this year contained a very special ritual to celebrate the transition of sponsorship from the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary US-Ontario Province to Holy Names Educational Ministries.

This simple yet powerful ritual was a way to honor the legacy of the SNJM Sisters who founded the Music Center and to recognize and celebrate the continuation of their wonderful work along with the current co-directors, their board, staff, and generous donors. HNEM is a Vatican-approved entity that permits the HNEM Sponsors Council to assume the official sponsorship of the Music Center. As a special touch to the ceremony, Co-Director Archie Chen performed a beautiful and moving piano composition.
