The Mary Shindler Boyle ’67 Center for Women’s Leadership, Entrepreneurship, & Innovation

For President Emily Becker ’86, transformation isn’t aspirational but inevitable. Since starting her role in 2022 at St. Mary’s Academy, Emily has spent countless hours ensuring that our current students have the same life-changing opportunities she had as a student attending St. Mary’s. After conversations with the community, it became abundantly clear to Emily that St. Mary’s must launch a signature program that prepares our young women for college and beyond the classroom.
The St. Mary’s Administration began to strategize what a program could look like. In each conversation with students, faculty, staff, and community members, they continually heard that our young women are the leaders our world needs now more than ever. This became the foundation for The Mary Shindler Boyle ’67 Center for Women’s Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.
This game-changing space and corresponding programming will allow our young women to incubate ideas, elevate opportunities for community engagement, and leverage the City as our Classroom. Since its opening, the space has hosted numerous speakers, engagement opportunities, and St. Mary’s traditions.
